Learn more about this tool

Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

When It Is Used

Use it when future orientation can support recovery, growth, strengths work, and discussion of life beyond trauma symptoms.

What It Captures

The tool captures goals in the child's own words, optional priority, practitioner notes, active or inactive status, and revisit history.

Important Boundary

The tool is not a generic productivity system and does not score achievement, prognosis, or the clinical meaning of goals.

Does the child need to create action plans?

No. Detailed action plans are not required unless the practitioner separately adds them.

Can vague hopes be saved?

Yes. Vague hopes can remain drafts and be clarified later.

Does the tool interpret what a goal means clinically?

No. Clinical interpretation appears only if the practitioner records it.

Are there configurable settings?

No. The tool has no substantive settings, but the fixed tool itself is still saved to the practitioner's account.
