COPM Satisfaction Rating Step

COPM Satisfaction Rating is the COPM rating step for occupational therapy practitioners completing ratings with a client. It helps the practitioner record the client's satisfaction with their performance for each selected occupational performance target at baseline or reassessment and compare ratings over time when valid.

Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

When It Is Used

Use this step after COPM targets have been selected and satisfaction status needs to be recorded at baseline or reassessment.

Comparison Behavior

Reassessment comparison is available only when the same target identity has comparable satisfaction ratings at different time points.

Important Limits

The product must not mix performance ratings into satisfaction results or invent anchors, thresholds, or clinical interpretations.

Is this satisfaction rating or performance rating?

This tool captures satisfaction rating only; performance rating is a separate COPM configuration.

Can satisfaction change be calculated without baseline?

No. Without comparable baseline satisfaction ratings, change is unavailable for that target.

Who provides the satisfaction rating?

The client provides the satisfaction rating during the shared practitioner-client session.

What is saved?

The COPM Satisfaction Rating tool itself and reusable time point setup are saved; demo targets and sample satisfaction ratings are not saved as real client data.
