Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

When It Is Used

Use this record when SAP-O, SAP-R, or other evidence is not enough to judge functional performance confidently on relevant objectives.

What It Captures

The record captures sampling reason, objective links, context, observed behavior evidence, and practitioner-selected relationship to existing evidence.

Limits

The tool is not a general behavior log and does not add causal hypotheses, intervention recommendations, diagnostic conclusions, or invented sampling protocols.

Is this a general behavior tracker?

No. Behavior Sampling Record is supplemental assessment evidence tied to relevant objectives, not open-ended behavior tracking.

What makes a sample incomplete?

A sample without objective linkage or sufficient behavior detail remains incomplete or draft.

Can conflicting evidence be resolved automatically?

No. Evidence that conflicts with other data is shown descriptively rather than resolved automatically.

What is saved from the demo?

The tool and reusable setup are saved. Fictional behavior samples and demo comparison data are not saved as real client data.
