Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

What It Tracks

Each support can include support type, work demand, functional limitation, responsible party, status, barrier, worker feedback, and practitioner viability review.

Worker Role

The worker can report whether a support is available, usable, missing, or creating a new barrier, without assigning legal or medical meaning.

Boundary

The tool records practitioner-defined support planning. It does not determine medical restrictions, mandate accommodation choices, decide employer obligations, or generate technology recommendations.

Can I include only assistive technology or only ergonomics?

Yes. The practitioner chooses the relevant support types for the case.

What if implementation status is unknown?

Unknown status remains unknown and is not treated as pending or implemented.

Does the tool decide whether an accommodation is legally required?

No. The tool tracks support requirements and status; it does not make legal determinations.
