Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

When It Is Used

Use it during a live parent-training session when parents need to see and discuss a concrete parent-child example connected to the strategy being taught.

What It Captures

The tool captures the selected vignette, linked strategy, discussion-step coverage, and optional descriptive notes. It does not require structured written answers or scoring.

Limitations

The tool does not infer parenting competence, predict home use, score parent responses, or create clinical conclusions.

Does this tool score parent discussion?

No. The tool supports live discussion and can show whether discussion steps were covered, but it does not score parents or infer skill mastery.

Do parents need their own accounts?

No. Parents participate live by watching and discussing the vignette; a separate digital client workflow is not required.

What is saved when I save the tool?

The tool and selected vignette/strategy setup are saved. Demo notes and fictional session content are not saved as real client data.

Can I use it without taking notes?

Yes. Optional notes are available, but the default experience works without note-taking.
