MST Fit / Driver Analysis

MST Fit / Driver Analysis is a practitioner-only Multisystemic Therapy analytic tool for clinicians working with youth whose serious behavioral problems are shaped by multiple systems. It helps practitioners define a specific target behavior, map drivers across relevant systems, distinguish maintaining factors from background context, and organize priority notes for intensive intervention focus.

Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

When It Is Used

Use it when a youth’s target behavior appears to be maintained by factors across family, peers, school, community, or other relevant systems.

What It Captures

The tool captures target behavior, relevant systems, drivers, driver-to-target links, maintaining-factor or background-context classification, evidence notes, and priority notes.

Important Limits

The tool does not generate causality, diagnose, score risk, recommend interventions, determine services, or create a referral map.

Does the tool decide what caused the behavior?

No. The practitioner enters and classifies drivers. The system organizes links and shows missing information without generating automated causal claims.

Can systems be customized?

Yes. System scope is configurable. Defaults include family, peers, school, and community, and practitioners can include other relevant systems.

Does the demo require real youth information?

No. Public exploration uses fictional, non-identifying case material. Demo drivers and notes are not saved as real client data by default.
