Body Sensation / Body Location Assessment

Learn more about this tool

Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

What It Captures

The tool captures body location and sensation quality as reported in relation to one target. Multiple locations can be captured if reported.

Limits

The tool does not infer medical meaning, categorize sensations beyond supplied content, or require a body map not supported by the product specification.

Is this a medical symptom tracker?

No. It records target-related body location and sensation for EMDR assessment, not general medical symptoms.

Can a client report no sensation?

Yes. No sensation, vague sensation, or general discomfort should be recordable without forcing interpretation.

Is a body map required?

No. A plain location field is sufficient; a body-location selector may exist only if it remains descriptive.
