Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

When It Is Used

Use it when planning would benefit from knowing which people or groups the client may realistically draw on for support.

What It Captures

The map captures people or groups, client-described support type, availability or usefulness, and goal relevance when known.

Limits

The tool is not a contact manager, social-risk assessor, relationship-scoring instrument, or automated judgment of relationship quality.

Does the map decide which relationships are safe or appropriate?

No. The map records client-described supports and availability; practitioner and client review are still required.

Can the map show that no supports are available?

Yes. If the client identifies no supports, the result can show an empty or gap state instead of forcing invented resources.

What gets saved from the demo?

The tool and selected map representation are saved. Fictional names and sample support details are not saved as real client data.
