One Future Situation

Each template focuses on one future situation or goal so the adaptive response and barriers remain interpretable.

What It Produces

The result is a structured summary of the future situation, intended adaptive response, and barriers or supports relevant to treatment planning.

Important Boundary

The tool does not invent scripts, score adaptive capacity, or predict whether the client will succeed in the future situation.

Is Future Template a goal tracker?

No. It is an EMDR future-preparation tool for mapping a future situation to an adaptive response, not a generic goal tracker.

Can barriers be unknown?

Yes. Barriers or supports can be marked not identified yet, while the template shows that planning detail is incomplete.

Can one template include multiple future situations?

No. Multiple future situations should be handled as separate templates.

Does the tool tell the practitioner the client is ready?

No. Practitioner review remains separate; the system does not infer readiness or future success.
