Use this background section to understand when the tool fits, how practitioners use it, and what to consider before sharing it with clients.

When It Is Used

Use it when a practitioner needs repeated craving or urge information across time and situations rather than a single recall-based impression.

What It Captures

The supported content is craving or urge episode information, including timing, intensity or frequency information when available, and reported context, trigger, or coping-response information when available.

Important Limits

The tool does not score relapse risk, infer causes, diagnose, predict relapse, or generate clinical recommendations.

Does the log create a relapse-risk score?

No. The log produces a descriptive pattern of reported craving or urge episodes, not a relapse-risk score or prediction.

Can the client submit partial entries?

Yes. The client can record an episode even when some details are missing, and missing information is shown as absent rather than inferred.

When is it a longitudinal pattern instead of a single episode record?

A longitudinal pattern requires multiple episodes. With fewer than two entries, the result should be treated as an episode record.

Are the demo entries saved into my account?

No. Saving keeps the tool itself; fictional demo entries and sample summaries do not become real client data.
